TO mark the beginning of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, the Belhaven Day Care Centre in Prestwick last week held their very own Olympics for staff and service users.
Lynn Skedd, manager at Mears Belhaven Day Centre said: “We thought we could create a bit of fun for our service users during the the Rio Olympic Games.
"Everyone had the chance to compete for bronze, silver and gold medals in four events including - javelin, bouncy ball high jump, archery and bucket ball.”
Mears Belhaven Day Care Centre, in Prestwick, provides day care for a wide range of older people.
Lynne said: “Our day care centre provides meaningful activity for a wide range of people according to individual needs.
"It’s a chance to enjoy some companionship during the day, and some respite for families looking for support.”
