Plans to turn a former Troon bank into a restaurant, bar and accommodation have been given the green light.
Proposals submitted by Wood Walsh Holdings Ltd last year will see the former Bank of Scotland at Templehill turned into dining and accommodation within the town centre.
Ground floor plans reveal a restaurant and bar, while first floor plans include several bedrooms to be used as accommodation.
The former Bank of Scotland branch was the last remaining high street bank in Troon and closed its doors for the final time in September 2022.
South Ayrshire Council planners have now approved the proposals, which will see a new offering in the seaside town.
A support statement reads: "The applicant seeks to convert 8 Templehill, Troon, the former Bank of Scotland building to a restaurant with serviced accommodation on the first floor.
"The vacant property has a prominent location within the Troon Conservation area and is a suitable location for the proposed use.
"Troon is a tourist town and an 'inn' type arrangement at this location would allow additional desirable dining and accommodation within the town centre.
"The proposal has been carefully considered to meet and adhere to policy from both South Ayrshire Council and the Scottish Government.
"The introduction of the restaurant coupled with tourist accommodation will attract people right to the heart of Troon town centre, bringing life back to this currently vacant building."
