AYR's Junior football club, Whitletts Victoria FC held a successful Sportsman's Dinner at the Ally MacLeod Suite at Somerset Park on Saturday.
The sold-out signs were up for the event as those attending enjoyed a superb meal and a great evening of entertainment.
Guest speakers were John McKelvie, former FIFA referee Willie Young and comedian and broadcaster Tam Cowan
The evening had a theme to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Whitletts Vics side who reached the semi finals of the Scottish Junior Cup in 1956, where they went down 3-2 to eventual winners Petershill in front of 20,100 fans at Shawfield Stadium.
To mark the occasion, Vics Chairman John Dalton made a special presentation to two surviving members of that side, Bernard Longair and George Crichton who were made Honorary Presidents of the Club.
The club also made a presentation to Club Sponsor Kenny Stuart of Arena Office Supplies.
