THE Ayrshire Bulls put in a rampant second half display to reach the final of the FOSROC Super Series Championship.

The Bulls were dominant in the final 40 minutes at Millbrae to turn a 19-19 half time scoreline into 38-22 victory over Watsonians.

They are now set to face Stirling Wolves at Hive Stadium in Edinburgh in the final of the tournament which they finished runners up in last season.

Revenge may well have been on the minds of some of the Bulls players heading into this game having lost the final of this competition to the same side last season.

While a position in the final may well have been incentivised by Stirling Wolves - who finished fourth in the regular season - upset regular season winners Heriot's to reach the showpiece match.

In their own match, shown live on BBC Alba, the Bulls got off to an ideal start when Jamie Sheddon scored in the corner, and brad Roderick-Evans added the extras.

Though three quick fire tries - two of which was successfully converted - quickly saw Watsonians push ahead in the match.

The home side were not disheartened though and with only 12 minutes left until half time Luca Bardelli crossed to reduce the deficit - though the conversion was missed.

Then when Jamie Sheddon added his second try, which was converted this time around, the score board was level going into half time.

A penalty early in the second half would then put Watsonians ahead - though it would be for the last time in the match.

In response, Blair Macpherson and Jamie Drummond - twice - ran in tries, two of which were converted, to push the home side too far ahead for the visitors to catch up.

It meant when the final whistle gone the Ayrshire Bulls had successfully earned a spot in the final, and crack at winning this year's FOSROC Super Series Championship title.

This game will take place at 4.10pm on Saturday, November 18, and will be shown live on BBC Alba and the BBC Iplayer.
