Ayr United have confirmed that coach Davie White will take charge of their upcoming match this weekend as the hunt for Lee Bullen's successor continues. 

Bullen left the Somerset Park side on Monday with the Honest Men sitting just two points off the bottom of the Scottish Championship. 

White, who previously stepped in following the dismissal of Mark Kerr in 2021, will take the team for their crucial game against Kelty Hearts in the Scottish Cup on Saturday. 

A club spokesperson said: "The club confirms that Davie White will take charge for Saturday's match with the process for appointing a new Head Coach remains ongoing."

United have also confirmed that Logan Chalmers will remain at the club until the end of the season, whilst Jack Young has returned to Wycombe Wanderers following his loan ending. 

The spokesperson added: "The deadline for Dundee United to recall Logan Chalmers has now expired and Logan will remain an Ayr United player until at least the end of the season.

"Jack Young has returned to Wycombe Wanderers following the expiry of the his loan. We would like to thank Jack for all his efforts this season and wish him every success in the future."
